Narrative
In the original narrative for the music video it was based on Beyonce having a miscarriage and losing her child. Therefore we decided to interpret it into our own narrative of losing a close/best friend. We thought we would be able to represent this better as our artist in our music video is considerably younger than Beyonce in hers and therefore wouldn't be as obvious to the audience if we was to make her lose a child. The artist in the music video will be the mourner as her best friend has passed away. As the actor who will be playing the artist is a good friend of mine we found some footage of when we were younger which we wanted to incorporate because it shows happiness within their friendship which suited the style of the music video. These clips will represent flashbacks and past events of their friendship which makes the music video seem more realistic as there is real footage within. We want our music video to show a story which viewers can relate to.
